When it was announced that DCD were auditioning for a new drummer, we knew we had our work cut out...
Band members are selected only after a stringent regime of tests, both physical and mental whilst also requiring that little something extra.
After agreeing terms with some of the most respected beat masters in the world - the two week endurance test proved too much for the applicants.
All seemed lost, until... Rex "Tibetan Monk" Porter returned from his two month spiritual trek in the mysterious Himalyas wearing only his flip flops; raving about a young albino orphan man he had met, who was on a similar spiritual quest. The albino orphan man lapped Rex 3 times through the mountains whilst cartwheeling his way tapping sixteenth note demi semi quavers on everything in his path!
He seemed perfect... We sent for him, clothed him and fostered him.
So, the legend that is Tom "The Tapper" Richards was born!
